The founder of Cerruti is Nino Cerruti, whom was an Italian stylist and fashion designer. He took over his family business when he was only 20 years old. From then, he was filled with vision and an expert in production procedures. By that, he began to modernise the textile manufacture to incorporate clothing production. Cerruti focus in producing luxury goods such as ready-to-wear, jeans, fragrances, watches and accessories. Nino and his team had launched a men’s ready-to-wear collection in 1957 that received widespread coverage in the press and the public hailed it as a revolution in the fashion industry. By that, the House of Cerruti was known to be a Parisian Fashion House with Italian roots. In 1967, he established Cerruti 1881 which will be the luxury ready-to-wear line for men.
